Winery Wedding Venues I Love in North East Victoria

(Spilling the grape juice on my favourite winery wedding venues across North East Victoria—because someone’s got to test-drive them for marriage potential, right?)

As a busy marriage celebrant based in sunny Yarrawonga/ Mulwala – who roams all over North East Victoria and into southern NSW – I’ve had the pleasure of visiting a lot of stunning wedding venues.

There’s just something special about a winery wedding. Maybe it’s the relaxed yet romantic vibe, the golden hour views, or the unbeatable Prosecco hour. Our region is known for its beautiful weather (no promises, but we’re pretty lucky!), breathtaking natural beauty, and an incredible mix of venues—from elegant estates and rustic barns to DIY-friendly wineries with loads of personality.

Think rolling vineyards, the Murray River, the King Valley, the Alpine region… and yes, even the very Instagram-worthy Cactus Country weddings (because who doesn’t love a wedding with a cactus backdrop?). And the best part? We’re only about a three-hour drive from Melbourne—making this region the ultimate weekend wedding destination.

Here are just a few of my favourite winery wedding venues in North East Victoria. There are so many more I could list (and probably will in a future post), but these are some definite standouts:

And bonus points for no travel between ceremony and reception!

Brown Brothers

Winery Wedding Venue in Milawa

Brown Brothers is one of those venues that manages to feel relaxed and country-style, while still giving off major rustic romance vibes. It’s the kind of place where you can wear boots or heels—or both—and still feel completely at home.

There are several ceremony locations to choose from, but my favourite is under the grand old oak tree. It offers great shade, a beautiful view of the surrounding ranges, and a peaceful setting to say your vows.

After the ceremony, couples usually head over to the cellar door area for Prosecco hour and canapés, while I sneak away to sort out the paperwork! The reception space—a fairy-light-filled barn—is a total showstopper. It’s warm, festive, and just the right mix of charming and fancy.

Glenbosch Wine Estate

Winery Wedding Venue in Beechworth

Glenbosch has quickly become one of my favourite winery wedding spots in North East Victoria.

Perched at the top of rolling hills, the ceremony site offers breathtaking views of the vineyards—and if you’re lucky, you might spot a curious alpaca or two wandering by (honestly, so cute!).

It’s got a gorgeous laid-back vibe, and I’ve seen weddings here absolutely glow with colour—it really is a dream backdrop for any kind of style, from classic to boho to full-blown flower bomb.

The reception space is light, modern, and feels like a blank canvas—perfect for creating a look and feel that’s totally yours.

Just next to the ceremony space is an ideal spot for post-ceremony drinks, canapés, and maybe a chilled acoustic set, while the two of you sneak off for some golden hour photos in the vines.

Olive Hills Estate

Winery Wedding Venue in Rutherglen

What’s not to love? Honestly, this place has a whole mood of its own.
From the hauntingly beautiful old homestead that sets the scene for those swoon-worthy moments, to the ancient tree ready to witness your “I do’s”—it’s giving timeless romance with a side of rustic charm.

If you’re after something a little different, the open-air chapel is a dreamy little spot that exudes charm by the bucket load.

The gravelled courtyard is made for cheese platters, bubbles and a few acoustic tunes (I’ve got some great local artists up my sleeve, just ask!). Then, when the sun dips low, it’s time to head into the grand old shed—think chandeliers, candles, and allll the good vibes.

All Saints Estate

Winery Wedding Venue in Wahgunyah

If you’re dreaming of something a little bit luxe, All Saints is your go-to. With its grand castle-like façade, sweeping driveway and immaculate gardens, this venue is the definition of romantic elegance with a serious wow factor.

The ceremony lawn sits right by the vines and is framed by massive trees and the iconic heritage building—it’s one of those backdrops that looks incredible from every angle (and your photographer will love you for it).

The barrel hall is a stunning reception option—moody, candlelit and full of rustic glamour. Or go alfresco with a long-table dinner under the stars and twinkle lights.
